Useful Information

We answer your questions!

You have questions about our animal welfare organization and our work with street dogs?

No problem, we have compiled the answers to the most frequently asked questions for you here. We want you to get to know our team and our work better and know that there are many unresolved issues. Have a look around and don’t hesitate to contact us if you have further questions.

We ask for a voluntary donation of € 350 for puppies and € 450 for neutered furbabies.

A pet is also a financial commitment.

The one-time purchase of a dog bed, carrier, dog bowl, harness and leash, as well as ongoing food costs are all part of the basic equipment.

Expected and also unexpected costs for the veterinarian can arise.

Dog tax and registration with the municipality must be done.

For puppies, training, dog or puppy school as well as dog training should also be considered. Dog training may also be necessary for adult dogs.

We place only healthy and veterinarian cared dogs – this is also a prerequisite for us to get the travel documents for the dogs. Of course, we can not guarantee the lifelong health of the dog.

If you have any problems with your adopted dog, you can of course contact the association.
We will give you advise and find a solution together with you.

This can not be answered in general, because every dog is different. Some dogs are very compatible with cats, some are not. We have dog trainers in Greece who will be happy to test this with your “dream dog” in Greece.

We can’t give a general answer to that either. Not every dog is suitable for a child. Again, we are happy to offer that you contact us, so we can help you find the right dog for you and your family.
We know our dogs in Greece well and can advise you.

Children and dogs must learn to communicate with each other. They should be involved in the decision from the beginning. Children must learn to understand their dog, interpret the different signals and respect the needs of the animal.

It is best if the dogs get to know each other on a neutral ground. Only then should they be placed in the same home.

We have a super trained dog trainer who works for our association. She is happy to give tips and advice in this regard. Of course she is also happy to give advice and support in all other matters.

If it’s up to us, come sooner rather than too late for a consultation – no matter what problem you have with one of our foundlings.

For the adoption of a dog it is first of all important that all family members living in the household agree. In the first few days, when our furry friend moves in with you, at least one person should be with him all the time.

If you have a house with a garden, it is very important that it is fenced and escape-proof.

Above all, you must be aware that it takes a lot of time to take care of a dog and that most dogs live longer than ten years. Therefore, the dog should be planned into your life for many years.

Also the financial expenses, if the dog gets sick, for example, should be considered.

Our foundlings are mixed breeds, whose parents we often do not know. Therefore, one can estimate the size, but not be sure.

We try to describe the character of the dogs as accurately as possible.
A gene analysis at the vet can be useful as well.

When you adopt a dog from a shelter, you save a dog’s life. The dogs often have a long “journey” and a troubled history before they arrive at a foster or adoptive home.

Most of the time, they are very grateful to have arrived at a safe place. There are no more beautiful moments than the gratitude an adopted dog shows you.
These are sometimes the most touching events in our lives – with our companions that can shape us throughout our lives.
